Though the complete report of the probe is yet to be declared, its conclusion, shared by the army authorities, points to the fact that other accused officers and jawans have been given a clean chit. A court of inquiry concluded in Meerut recently has found enough ground for disciplinary action against a jawan. It is learnt that a DNA sample matched with one of the children born to a Congolese woman. The court collected the DNA samples of all the officers and jawans to ascertain the veracity of the complaints. In this case, too, a court of inquiry was promptly ordered which looked into the conduct of 12 officers and 39 jawans.
